The Ministry of Internal Security of Somaliland has today inaugurated a National Strategic Security Conference aimed at strengthening cooperation among law enforcement, intelligence, and regional forces.

The conference brought together senior officials from across Somaliland to discuss emerging security threats, including organized crime, cross-border smuggling, and cyber vulnerabilities. Minister H.E. Ahmed Abdiaziz Jidaal emphasized the need for a coordinated, multi-agency approach to maintaining stability and public safety.

Minister Jidaal stated: “Our mission is to safeguard the citizens of Somaliland through a united approach that integrates intelligence, law enforcement, and community engagement. This conference provides an opportunity to outline practical strategies and actionable solutions to address our security challenges.”

During the opening session, the Minister highlighted recent successes in curbing criminal activities and stressed the importance of incorporating technological advancements in security operations, such as surveillance systems, data analysis, and rapid response mechanisms.
